14 October Arrival
Arriving in Nice I have the distinct feeling that I’ve been here before. I am almost certain of it. This blog feels a little bit like my own memory bank, which only became more important after becoming bipolar and having memory issues, so I duly searched for Nice. Unfortunately more than 5 pages of results returned. It seems that the word ‘nice’ is firmly in my lexicon.
Fortunately I didn’t need to rely on my unreliable mind to figure out where I should go as my colleague kindly came by the airport to pick me up and take me back to the airBnB we booked.
I love Nice, you love Nice, we all love Nice.
It was fairly late and we struggled somewhat to find a place to eat, but nevertheless we had a good time exploring and eventually found some grub. A nice Niçois salad (invented here) that was unfortunately drenched in salad dressing. Every time I have a salad I swear I’ll ask for the dressing on the side next time but, hey, here we are.
It was only a two day trip and I wasn’t very trigger happy on the camera nor very energetic to go exploring too far. I did however go for a little run in the morning and that’s a start.
