Fougères

This is one of those, very rare, personal trips that is more for having a nice excursion than anything else but, ofcourse, we found time to stop by Laval (the HRV office) to say hello to everyone. This trip, you’ll soon see, I was secretly excited, and perhaps a bit nervous, for.
We went through “Le Shuttle” and arrived in Calais raring to go. Unfortunately we were met with some very English weather. We would have drowned our sorrows in Calvados but we found out Kyla is pregnant (🥳)
Onwards! We visited Mont Saint Michel and were faced with torrent winds. Still not the right time!
And then, finally, we settled down in a town called Fougères which presented the perfect opportunity on the castle bridges to finally say “Je t’aime – tu veux m’épouser?”
As we made our way to Le Shuttle we found a lovely little place on Booking that wasn’t far away. We hit the jackpot with a lovely couple and the best breakfast we’ve had (with freshly made apple crumble, too!).
