Arrival

Nice and easy with Ryanair flights often going back and forth.

The first good sign was being able to get a quality cup of coffee on the plane. I’ve never seen a cup that allows you to drink filtered coffee before but it was a real pleasure.

Italians take their coffee seriously, their wine seriously and then hand movements whilst talking seriously it seems.

WHAT IS WAS LIKE

Unfortunately it was a quick stop which essentially allowed me time to explore the city centre, enjoy some aperol spritzes and the like. Fortunately though, I happen to arrive a day before the four-day Feast of Sant’Efisio in Cagliari, which begins May 1st.

Beyond that, it was just so great getting to see Jon in his home country, recognising a few people from the previous Vinitaly trip and getting to see the place through the eyes of a local. I’m definitely coming back with my partner for some beach vacations though.
