Arrival
I had a great ride up on my motorbike. I stopped halfway in a town near Cheltenham to see a good friend whom I hadn’t see for a decade. He bought a lovely little historic cottage and is a really handyman building it up!
In the evening I made my way all the way to Altrincham (or just next door at ‘mere’ as they were fully booked – later found out because of Sabrina Carpenter coming to town). I finally arrived sometime after midnight and THANK GOD, there was a hot bath waiting for me at the Mere Court Hotel https://www.merecourt.co.uk

The City
I’d come to Altrincham before a couple of times, but never had a chance to explore the town. This time, staying nearby, and on motorbike, meant I would get the chance.
And, boy, I’m glad I did make the time. The town was surprisingly bustling, had a covered “market” eating area, where you sat on benches in the centre and could order from any of the restaurants around you and they’d deliver to your bench. I for one chose the pie, mash and gravy to give me a wholesome meal, followed up by a lovely, rich, hot chocolate.

Work
This is our first NHS site, are it’s a beauty! It’s been completely refitted at the Altrincham healther and wellbeing centre.
