We just came from Verona where we got to go to a vine festival (Verona) with our friends Jonathan and Bianca. It wasn’t planned, but hey, here we are. We flew into Verona but flew out of Milan to make the most of it. We hopped on the train and were here in no time. The trains work well and everything went to plan. Upon arriving at the train station we saw some pretty cool art installations, a lovely square and a fancy hotel.

There’s nothing that says Italy more than sexy cars! Ok…. Maybe the vino, too. Oh… And the stylish clothes. And the….
We grabbed a coffee (another win for Italy!) and decided to plan our day before heading to the airport. I don’t have a recollection of having our suitcases, so either we dropped them in somewhere for storage of they have disappeared from memory – and not made it into a photo, either!
Thankfully, I have an Amex Platinum which comes with a range of benefits. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend it unless you travel as much as I do for work. That being said, the food benefits are great. £500 credit abroad and £500 credit at home at some top spots. After a quick look, one of those just happens to be right next door.

On the top floor of a fancy hotel, we enjoyed some free food (the ‘Business Lunch’) and some cocktails whilst having a great view.
Replenished – and only a tiny bit typsy – we headed out to explore the city. For this we needed the metro and from there we were on our feet.

We made our way around town on foot and by metro to get to see some castles and spend time in the parks.
It was great to see a few sights, bask in the sun and pleasantly pass the time.
Such a beautiful voice!
Sad to see so many people look down and pretend not to see him. At least we got to appreciate it on the grass, in the sun.
Their loss!
